Monday, April 22 is Earth Day, but we (FreeWalkers) have decided to celebrate our beautiful planet all month long with a Virtual Challenge that the entire family can enjoy together!
Please join our Earthly Expedition, a scavenger hunt where you design your own walking route/adventure while trying to locate as many “Earthly Elements” from the list that FreeWalkers provides here.
Starting on April 1st walk anywhere and everywhere and take photos of as many Earthly Elements as you wish over the course of the month.
The only thing that we ask is that you walk outside for as often as you like with people you enjoy being with - it's all about sharing the experience. For this special challenge how far or how long you walk is not important - just that you do what you can, and invite others to join you.
On March 31 we will send all a list of our suggested Earthly Elements, however you may enjoy finding some that are not on our list as well.
Upon completing your walking expeditions (or by the end of April) please share these three things with the group by sending your results to info@freewalkers.org.
- How many of the 20 Earthly Elements did you find on your Expeditions? Please go out as many days/times as you like.
- Forward your three favorite photographs from your Expeditions. (Please note that FreeWalkers will share photos on our website and other social media platforms, so once submitted you are giving us permission to do so.)
- What inspired you the most or what did you enjoy the most about your Earthly Expeditions?
We can't wait to see all of your beautiful photos and wish everyone a month filled with fantastic walking adventures!
Once completed we will share a beautiful photo collage with all who participate!
