Besides seeing colorful wildflowers return in the spring, we hear the songs of returning birds. Our changing climate and ecosystem loss has created many problems for birds - and makes this is a good time to appreciate and protect what we have. We’ll be walking quietly, tuning our ears to birdsong and other creatures that we may hear along the trails of this nature preserve.
Our time together will begin with introductions to the theme and each other. We'll have the opportunity to wander for a half hour or more among the trees, absorbing the sounds around us. Then we will return to our circle to share what we have noticed and close our time together.
Bring your journal, water bottle, and your binoculars if you wish. We will receive donations via cash, check, or Venmo to help pay for use of this space.
Please register. It's free. You'll receive an email with more updated information just ahead of the gathering and be notified should there be any changes.
Church of the Wild ~ Two Rivers is an always forming community of like-hearted souls, meeting in the midst of and drawing inspiration from the living earth. Our intent is to deepen our connection to the sacred by being more fully present, open and available in each moment. We learn from the earth and trees, the waters and sky, and from all living beings, human and non-human.
