T he Military & Family Readiness center on Ellsworth AFB is partnering with the New Parent Support Program, American Red Cross, USO and Operation Homefront to present a Community Baby Shower. We invite all expectant mothers and those that have recently given birth (within 9 months of the event) and are DoD ID card holders to register and attend this exciting free event. Light Refreshments will be provided, along with information on pre-natal and newborn resources, games and door prizes! Community agencies will be on hand to answer questions and provide information. All expectant mothers and mothers of newborns in attendance will receive a complimentary bag that is full of baby essentials! For more information, contact the M&FRC (605)385-4663

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be present for the entire event?

Yes, we will have a few guest speakers that you don't want to miss. Your complimentary bag of baby essentials will be provided at the end of the event.

Do I need to be present to win a door prize?

Yes, names for door prize winners will be drawn at approximately 1515 and winners must be present to claim.

Do I have to be active duty or a military spouse to attend as an expectant mother?

No, anyone that is pregnant or has recently given birth AND has a DoD ID card and has access to Ellsworth AFB is eligible to attend.

What if I my child is older than 9 months, can I still attend?

Unfortunately, due to the size of the event and amount of resources we have to provide, we have had to limit the event to expectant mothers and those that have given birth within 9 months of the event.
