Come join us at the Swamp Creek Rod and Gun Club, 4 Big Road Zieglerville, PA 19492. Sunday July 12th, 2026 for a hands-on workshop on Defensive Pistol Applications presented by Elegant Solutions Training LLC. This course runs from 0800-1200.

This class is led by Dwayne Bolt, a seasoned multi-disciplined NRA Instructor and martial artist. This is a non-NRA class.

We will be doing timed drills and skill builders. You will be held accountable for EVERY round. You will deal with movement, multiple engagements, reloads, stress inoculation, and malfunctions all under a timed standard. This is NOT the same as punching holes in paper at a stationary target in a well-lit room. You will safely draw, shoot, move and holster. You will be working with a team in and around barriers to and from cover. This class includes classroom and range time. Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your knowledge, skills and confidence when it comes to defensive pistol applications. In this course you will be subject to non-traditional shooting positions; positions; prone, supine, sitting, kneeling and behind cover. You will practice tactical and emergency reloads and system malfunctions, just to name a few. You must have a working knowledge of your firearm and its functionality.

This class is 100% drawing and holstering. If you carry a firearm and have never had formal training, this class is for you! If you carry a firearm and have had formal training, this class is for you!

You must have a strong side OWB (Outside the Waist Band) Kydex or Polymer reinforced holster. NO SERPA holsters or any type with finger locking devices. No leather holsters. No shoulder holsters. No soft sided nylon holsters (e.g. Uncle Mikes). You must have a brimmed hat, electronic hearing protection and eye protection. If you show up with any of the aforementioned items that are not allowed, you will NOT be able to participate. You will need a sturdy belt and a magazine carrier that holds 2 magazines and or speed loaders. You will need at least 3 magazines and at least 200 rounds of FACTORY ammunition. No reloads! You must have a service caliber gun, 9mm, 40 cal. 10mm, 45 ACP. No 22lr. If you have a spare pistol, bring it. This class is for semi-automatic pistols or revolvers only.

Please bring lite snacks and hydration. We will take mini breaks with no formal lunch. This class is held outdoors, rain or shine. In the event of a weather system that makes being outside hazardous, the class will be postponed and participants notified at least 24 hours in advance. You will need appropriate weather-related clothing. The price will be $125.00 USD.
