About this event

This is a two-part training. The first two-hour training (September 10th) will focus on participant intake, enrollment, & interactions. The second (September 16th) will focus on unlock requests, participant Goals, referrals, and attendance. Make sure to submit a separate registration for both dates.

This virtual training is targeted to WIOA Train & Earn program staff. This training focuses on workscope management in the Participant Tracking System (PTS) after your workscope has been approved. This training will not cover functionality related to the Evaluation and Monitoring System (EMS), which includes evaluations, action plans and incident reports.

This training will:

  • Offer hands-on training to users on the necessary steps needed to navigate efficiently throughout the PTS database system.
  • Educate staff with the rationale for and contents of the workscope.
  • Demonstrate how the Workscope reflects the program's plan and how to make adjustments/changes to accurately reflect any changes made to the plan.
  • Train staff to enter participants, activities, rosters, and attendance data in the Participant Tracking System.
  • Troubleshoot different scenarios that programs may experience in their day-to-day work, such as issues with attendance and changing Activity Schedules.

This session will be hosted virtually via WebEx. In advance of the session, please be sure to install the WebEx client on your computer. Registration Instructions:

To register, please click on the orange “Select a Date” button and choose the training date you would like to attend. On the new page, click on the green “Register” button, then select “Checkout”

  1. Fill out the entire registration form. (NOTE: If you have one or more colleagues who will attend, please make sure each person completes a registration through Eventbrite).

  2. PLEASE NOTE: An insufficient number of registrants will result in cancellation or postponement of this workshop. Registration is for the approved candidate only.

Training Instructions

  1. On the morning of the training, go to  https://expanded.webex.com/expanded/onstage/g.php?MTID=ef5ee315ba62853b8f8f7b26df0913e27. When the WebEx event opens at 10:00am, enter your name, email address, and the Event Password (r3nXeqY5Pe3) then click on "Join Now". Please try to access the meeting room at least 15 minutes before the start of the session, in case there are any technical difficulties.

  2. Once you are in the Meeting Room, you will see Audio Options to either: dial-in through a phone by dialing the number provided and then the Meeting Number, OR using the speakers on your computer. (The Meeting Number is also provided in the top left corner of the Meeting room)
