Description
We loved the community and sharing at DWeb Camp 2019 so much, so let's keep the momentum going! Come meet others interested in building a decentralized web, the web we need and deserve.
This month we'll be sharing the take aways from DWeb Camp and looking to future collaborations. Speakers this month include:
-
Joachim Lohkamp, founder of Jolocom in Berlin. He'll be sharing the latest in Jolocom's decentralized self-sovereign identity and also announcing the IPDB Association--a global group building the first non-monetary blockchain and decentralized database with decentralized governance.
-
Shokunin founder of PermaWeb, a new layer built on top of the IPFS stack, will share the latest from IPFS Camp and DWeb Camp.
-
Andrew Hill of Textile.io shares his experiences helping teams build apps on IPFS' stack
-
Margaret Warren, founder of ImageSnippets, will share the latest advancements in adding linked data to the decentralized stack.
-
Matt Davis, founder of Change Labs, will share how DWeb Camp inspired him to apply emerging technologies for social change.
-
Brandon Wallace & Drew O'Meara, founders of Plan-System, a new set of open source tools for immersive collaboration
-
Mai Sutton & members of People's Open Network will lift up the hood and share their journey building the Mesh network that brought WI-FI to DWeb Camp.
-
Wendy Hanamura of Internet Archive will share where the DWeb Movement is headed, with new meetup groups in Phoenix, Boston, Shanghai, Perm (Russia), Berlin, Toronto, and Austin, TX.
We'll also gather at the Internet Archive for pizza, networking, and lightning talks. Share your technology, look for partners, build your community. Be inspired!
Sign up to give a lightning talk when you get your ticket--we'll include as many as we have time for.
Updated Schedule:
5:30p: Welcome, social hour + Pizza
7:00p: Featured speakers & Lightning Talks start
8:30p Networking and informal Q & A
