DV8 Coursework introduces Phil Scarito’s method of modeling and teaching Strength Instruction: from Kettlebells to Bodyweight, Indian Clubs to Barbell. Did you know? Unlike the norm in the industry, DV8 certification testing requirements are not based on a registrant's age, gender, or weight. Learning how to select appropriate load size—barbell, kettlebell, etc.— is a crucial skill for practitioners and coaches alike. Since this is a true practice and teaching certification, we not only instruct you on how to make these distinctions, but we test you on your ability to make them, and make them well. Just like you would with your students.

If you're a coach, whether solo or for a big box gym, retention is the name of the game. You are ill advised to fly blind on arbitrarily predetermined criteria in the real world when a client walks into your room.
