DV103: Advocacy and Community Response

Goals and Objectives:

  • Identify the importance of cultivating a coordinated community response to victims
  • Identify the various systems designed to support or inform victims (community-based, criminal justice, social services, workplace, healthcare, media, education)
  • Recognize the advantages and challenges these systems present and learn how to navigate them effectively as an advocate for victims
  • Learn how to play a role in your community or workplace to raise awareness and launch prevention-based activities

** DV101 or extensive background in the field of domestic violence is strongly recommended. We will not review basic information in this class.

  • This class does not offer social work/LPC credits but is needed to receive the full certification.
