Join the editors of Trains Magazine aboard a private steam-powered two-day charter on Colorado's Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The train will operate Durango to Silverton on Friday, October 18th and return to Durango the following day, Saturday, October 19th, 2024. Multiple photo stops will be made both days. Included is a night photo session in Silverton using professional lighting equipment, weather permitting.

The planned consist includes a K-28 steam locomotive lettered for Rio Grande, five freight cars, three passenger coaches, and a caboose.

A box lunch will be served aboard the train both days and is included in the fare. Guests are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

These rates include the 15% discount, taxes, and fees:

Each guest will be charged 3 days before the day of arrival. They have up to that point to cancel with no fees.
