Standard Issue

Standard Issue is a London-based new music collective dedicated to creating inclusive spaces to hear, see, and take part in contemporary and experimental music.

Standard Issue embarked on their first UK tour in Autumn 2025 alongside Glasgow-based composer Ollie Hakwer. They were the inaugural Ensemble in Residence at Sound and Music’s In the Making Programme in 2024, where they worked with young composers to help them develop their compositional voices and presented workshops on experimental performance practice. They have worked with groups such as Her Ensemble, Ensemble Modern, Muscarc Choir, Music We’d Like to Hear, and have been featured on BBC Radio 3’s New Music Show.
