Drupal Developer Trio (3 Days)

This three-day, hands-on course is designed to fast-track developer expertise with a solid understanding of how Drupal.

• Day 1 covers Layout and Theming
• Days 2-3 are devoted to Module Development.

In the Drupal Developer Trio training, key concepts are introduced step-by-step and reinforced with practice and opportunities for hands-on engagement, as course participants are guided through developing custom themes and custom modules.

Learning Objectives

• An essential framework of steps involved in delivering a new Drupal website
• The expertise and agility to meet a wide range of client or company website expectations
• Knowledge of advanced techniques and best practices for custom functionality to extend the capabilities of Drupal
• Review of Acquia best practice knowledge in preparation for Drupal Certification

Recommended Experience

Experience with the following is required:

• Content authoring using a Content Management System
• Familiarity with Drupal's administrative interface
• Working Knowledge of HTML and CSS

• Customizing your theme
• Base themes and subtheming

Day 2: Module Development

• Drupal module development fundamentals
• Creating your first module
• Building a Fully Functional RSVP List Module

Day 3: Module Development

• Building a Fully Functional RSVP List Module (continued)
• Automated Testing
• Drush and Drupal Console
