Come join us at Aussakita Acres Farm for a fun and rhythmic experience! This event is perfect for beginners looking to learn the basics of playing the djembe drum and the seasoned drummer who is looking for a peaceful, welcoming place to drum and make new friendships!

Drum, Dance, be yourself and let the rythms move you!!!


If the weather is nice we will be outside around our massive Bonfire.


If the weather is not cooperating then we will be inside our event building fireside.


No experience necessary to learn the how to play.


Ages 14+


Come bang on the drum and have some fun !!


Cost $20.00 for 1.5 hour experience!


We have a limited amount of drums, so if you have your own we ask that you please bring it!!1


Come early to Meet and Eat if you wish to bring your own snacks and beverages, also feel free to walk the farm and see the farm animals.


About Our Wonderful Instructor:

Our experienced instructor Michelle Butler will guide you through the fundamentals of drumming in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned musician or just curious about percussion, this event is a great way to connect with others and explore the world of drumming. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the beats and rhythms of the djembe drum!


Michelle participated in her first Drum circle in 1999 and instantly fell in love with how drumming made her feel !


She has since drummed with a variety of groups thru the years, learning different rhythms along the way. The style of Drum played, is called a Djembe, which means, “to gather together in peace”She teaches the sounds of the drum and simple rhythms, but also does some freestyle, as well as, playing with recorded music.


In the year 2020, she launched Joyful Distractions for facilitating Drum circles, as she loves ministering JOY to lift the spirits of others by creating a safe healing space for anyone seeking healing through peace, joy and connection.

Cost $20.00 for 1.5 hour experience!

May it be through a farm animal tour where you can feed, pet, cuddle, and interact with our animals while getting a detailed education on each species, or baby animal socialization where you can get up close and personal snuggling baby goats and piglets, to a fun and healthy yoga class to help get to know the animals on a more natural level.

We not only have the the most goats in our goat session but we also have some of the friendliest.   

We where the very first to offer Baby Animal Socials and Goat Yoga in the state of CT, as it became so popular many other farms have tried to copy what we do but they still can not compare!!!!

We also have the very best Yoga instructors who's love for yoga and animals is the perfect blend. 

After your farm animal session we encourage folks to walk our farm and get to know the rest of the animals that reside here.  We also offer many other farm related events. We promise a fun farm experience that you won't forget!!
