A Newbie-friendly tournament with small games, no painting requirement and a chance to cut your teeth on this excellent and criminally underplayed system!<a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OQzVGpMxXP38x2uBiKCuwd9IxrkMOAoXwjnCnI4bSfM/edit?usp=sharing" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">T﻿he event pack containing the missions and scoring can be found here</a>About this event:LOCATION: Bristol Adventurers guild - 159 Kingsland Road, BS2 0QWPARKING: Plenty of on road parking and a short walk from Bristol Temple MeadsRULES FORMAT: We will be playing with version 2.2.0 of the core rulebook, unless a newer version of the rulebook is released at latest by 23 September. We will post an update if this is the case. The latest version of the rulebook can be found <a href="https://www.dropzonecommander.com/assets/Desktop_Dropzone_Rulebook.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>We will also be playing with Version 2.4.0 of the FAQ and experimental rules pack, available <a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0965/1274/files/Dropzone_BFE_FAQ_v2.4.pdf?v=1686135915" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>The missions will be taken from the Reconquest Mission Pack, available <a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0965/1274/files/Reconquest_1_Scenarios.pdf?v=1639488040" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>NUMBER OF GAMES: 3 games, 2 hours 45 minutes per game. Game 1 will be random opponents, games 2 and 3 will follow standard Swiss scoring so winners will play winners, defeated players will play each other, et cetera. SIZE OF GAMES:1,500 points, meaning missions will follow the &quot;Clash&quot; format for objective placement. ENTRY FEE: £15TICKETS: 10, we will sell more if we sell out!Please note, we will do our best to help if your circumstances change and you can&#x27;t attend, but won&#x27;t be able to offer any refunds requested up to 2 weeks before the event is due to begin.WHAT TO BRING:An army. As this is an event aimed at getting newer players into the game, there is no painting requirement (although you&#x27;re unlikely to win Best Army with grey plastic or resin)!Please note that Behemoths are not allowed at this event - while you can technically squeeze one into a 1,500pt list, it might skew things, especially for new players who don’t know how or have the tools to handle them. A copy of your list. Digital copies are fine, and the army builder on the website allows you to export your list with unit cards included. A deck of command cards. Dice, a Tape Measure and 3 Objective Markers (ideally 30-32mm in diameter, although smaller or larger ones can be used so long as all markers in the game are the same size). It&#x27;s also highly recommended that you bring some spare dice you won&#x27;t accidentally roll for tracking building damage, collateral damage tokens, et cetera. Access to the rules, either in the form of the paper rulebook or the free digital copy.Access to the stat cards of your units. Dropzone’s website has a good army builder, but it has been known to go down at times, so it’s recommended you export and save your list and unit cards in advance. TERRAIN:Terrain will be set up by the organisers for game 1. However, missions may require players to move terrain to accommodate objectives for games 2 and 3. Arrange the board with your opponent with symmetry and fairness in mind, agree what buildings are small, medium, large et cetera, then roll off for determining sides. L﻿UNCHA lunch pre-order will be sent around prior to the event. We support a small local deli who do incredibly good deli sandwhiches for very affordable prices, including vegetarian and vegan options.
