Featured Resource Session at Drop-In Work Day

Join us on June 4 at 1:30 PM for a brief “How-To” session led by our very own Asia Blaney focused on using Candid’s Foundation Directory Online (FDO)!

This informal session will provide a helpful overview of how nonprofits can utilize Foundation Directory Online for grant and funder research, identifying funding opportunities, and strengthening fundraising strategy.

Whether you are brand new to FDO or looking for a refresher, this is a great opportunity to learn practical tips and ask questions in a supportive community-centered environment.

Special Community Partner Activation at Drop-In Work Day

We are excited to welcome our partners from the University of Michigan Ross Business+Impact team to Co.act Detroit on June 4 from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM as part of Drop-In Work Day!

Throughout the day, their team will host a resource table and be available to connect with nonprofit leaders and organizations interested in learning more about the Golub Capital Nonprofit Board Fellows Program — a unique opportunity that partners impact-driven University of Michigan graduate students with nonprofit boards as non-voting board members for one academic year.

Fellows bring fresh perspectives, additional capacity, and support organizations through curated projects aligned with board and organizational needs, while nonprofits also gain access to dedicated staff support and a broader community of nonprofit partners.

📣 Informal Presentation: 2:15 PM

Join us for a brief and informal overview of the program, application process, timeline, and opportunities for nonprofit participation.

💬 “The Board Fellows program never ceases to deliver exceptional candidates who take genuine interest in the functioning of nonprofits and how to improve this. We will never not want to participate in this amazing opportunity!” – Brilliant Detroit, 4-Year Program Partner

Nonprofit applications are due June 19th. Questions about the program? Email: boardfellows@umich.edu
