Overview

Join us for a presentation from Rich Greene, president of ASD Drive Ready to learn about exciting new options for folks with ASD

Back by popular demand! ASD Drive Ready is partnering with UCF CARD to make innovative programming using virtual reality available in our area. This presentation will highlight strategies that can assist with decreasing anxiety, improving focus on critical driving behaviors, learning rules of the road, and preparing for driving, whether before the permit or after! Best of all, funding for these programs may be available through FLVS, FES or Vocational Rehabilitation.* Priority will be given to UCF CARD constituents who have expressed interest in driving instruction.

Here is a recent brief video from the UCF College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) that talks a bit about this collaboration.

*This program is not directly funded by FLDOE, it is possible based off grant and additional donation funding. While funds may be available to defray the cost of the instruction, this specialized instruction is not a free UCF CARD service. All participants seeking funding support from UCF CARD sources must have been registered for at least 3 months and have completed their intial consultation with their ASD specialist.
