Leaving his rural life for the city, Chester is hired as a typist by the heiress of a manufacturing firm. The only workspace he is given is a small utility closet with a leaky pipe. As the pipe makes hypnotic dripping sounds he is lulled in and out of feverish dreams of past events inside the utility closet that slowly reveal hidden secrets about the history of the room, the people who resided there and a horrifying creature that nests inside.
