Drawing With Thread

Arts at the Armory isa community arts and cultural center in Somerville MA.Our mission is to celebrate the rich artistic and multi-cultural community of Somerville. We host a broad range of performing arts activities (music, theater, dance, film, spoken word, poetry, etc.) as well as visual art exhibits and a variety of cultural events. We also offer educational and cultural programs for all ages, with a particular emphasis on programs for local youth.

The Center for Arts at the Armory

This is a four week series on Wednesdays May 4 through May 25, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm in the B5 classroom.
In this class, participants will learn basic embroidery techniques and how to apply them to “Drawings.” Using techniques of direct drawing, transfer and projection. This would be both a technical skills class and an idea development class. You would discuss stitch choices, color choices and materials choices.
