Draping 303
Draping is probably the most interesting method of patternmaking of all because it enables the designer to "sculpt" the fabric in ways that flat patternmaking can not achieve.
If you would like to understand the principles of draping and delve into this fluent art of patternmaking, don't miss out on this one-on-one, hands-on opportunity. Class capacity is small due the number of dressforms.
This is a 10-week, (2) hour course that meets on Mondays and Fridays from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. You will be given a syllabus on the first day of class which will also list supplies and materials needed for this course. If you have sewing supplies, please feel free to bring them. Many of the items used in sewing and patternmaking classes are also used in draping. Also, please see the website supply room.
Dressforms are available for class use only.
Please also be advised that the above location is subject to change.
