When Should I Show up?

We recommend getting there earlier in the day to get an earlier spot on the firing schedule, but later will work as long as your egg is ready to go in the kiln before 5 pm.  For most people, start to finish the process will take about 3-4 hours, so try to arrive before 2 pm to ensure enough time.

Question 2

What should I wear?

Comfy clothes/closed toe shoes that you don’t mind potentially smelling like a campfire later. You won’t be handling anything burning lava hot but burning lava hot stuff will be nearby and does create smoke.  We suggest dressing in layers for the weather, as parts of the event take place outside.

What is parking like?

There are a few parking spots in the alley right next to Mr. B's.  There is also free street parking in the neighborhood.

Question 4

Are dogs/kids welcome?

Yes, Mr. B's is open to all ages and carries non-alcoholic drink options. Please be aware that the kilns are very hot. They will never be unattended, and it is ultimately your responsibility to keep your kids/pets a safe distance away, outside the marked areas.

Are masks required?

While not required, masks are always welcome.  Part of the event will be taking place outside.  If weather permits, the garage door to the indoor space will also be open.

Question 6

What is the physical space/accessibility like?

Accepted Answer

The building and outdoor area are accessible with hard floors.  The indoor space used to be a garage so the floor has some uneven parts and one side of the inner space has a short ramp up.  The bathroom is located in an outer building with one step down and another step up through narrow doorways.
