Get ready to drag the cistem! On Thursday, June 25th, 2020, at 7pm EDT, the <a href="http://ajlunited.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Algorithmic Justice League</a> proudly presents the first ever Drag Vs. AI Virtual Workshop. Join gender scholar and consultant Matisse DuPont (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/matisse.dupont" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@matisse.dupont</a>) a.k.a. Monstera Delicious (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/mxmonstera" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@mxmonstera</a>) as they lead you through the pratfalls of Facial Recognition Technologies (yes, there are FRTs, plural!), and explore the ways that drag can be used to thwart algorithmic injustice. Monstera Delicious will be joined by fellow drag performers Akira Oni (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/akira.oni" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@akira.oni</a>) and DVVSK (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/dvvsk_" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@dvvsk_</a>), who will teach you how to use drag to mess with facial recognition technologies using only objects you find around your house or a single makeup item. This will be a lesson in drag vs. AI, as well as in creativity and ingenuity as we fight for Algorithmic Justice!Please note: this is a free event, with suggested donations to the <a href="https://www.transgenderemergencyfund.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a><a href="https://www.ajlunited.org/take-action" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Algorithmic Justice League</a>. Attendance limited to 45. The Drag Vs AI Virtual Workshop will be recorded, so please only join if you are OK with that!
