Our next CoderDojo will take place on Monday Mar 2nd at 6:30pm. New starters very welcome !! This will be our final session before the Christmas break&nbsp;
A reminder to all and particularly new starters&nbsp;:
<ul>
<li>Please bring a (fully charged) laptop&nbsp;</li>
<li>Places are limited&nbsp;so early registration is advisable. You&nbsp; must register each week for the following Monday. We always do our very best to accommodate everyone,</li>
<li>We will normally be in the Carbery Suite or the Garden Room at the Clonakilty Park.&nbsp;</li>
<li>If your child is age 12 and under you&nbsp;ARE REQUIRED to stay&nbsp;with them for the duration of the CoderDojo session.&nbsp;</li>
<li>PLEASE BRING EXTENSION LEADS IF POSSIBLE AND DO LABEL ALL EQUIPMENT - laptops, power cables,extension leads etc.&nbsp;</li>
<li>We also request that you do not take home the printed tutorials or if you do borrow them you return them the following week. Alternatively we will make them available online for you to download.&nbsp;</li>

We are very grateful to the CLONAKILTY PARK HOTEL&nbsp;who are once again kindly providing us with our great venue and to all mentors and parents who help out each week.&nbsp;

At a CoderDojo, young people learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and more. Dojos are set up, run by and taught at by volunteers. In addition to learning to code, members meet like minded people, show off what they&rsquo;ve been working on and so on. CoderDojo makes development and learning to code a fun, sociable, kick ass experience. CoderDojo also puts a strong emphasis on open source and free software, and has a strong network of members and volunteers globally.
CoderDojo has just one rule:&nbsp;&ldquo;Above All: Be Cool&ldquo;,&nbsp;bullying, lying, wasting people&rsquo;s time and so on is uncool.
Places are open to kids age 8 upwards. Some kids do start at age 7+ and we feel that is up to the parent to decide if they are ready. It really depends on the ability of the child and how happy they are at CoderDojo.
