Thanks to National Lottery players and Sport England, Sunderland Young People's Bike project are pleased to offer a number of FREE Dr Bike Health Checks. These are sessions where people can bring their own bikes and have a qualified cycling mechanic check to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
This is not a full service and repair, but an "MOT" of the bikes brought a-long. Our mechanics will check all the components of the bike and provide a report on what needs to be done to ensure they are safe.
We will carry out any minor repairs if required such as; Basic Brake replacement & adjustment, gear indexing & adjustment, cable replacements, Chain – Check for wear and lubricate if necessary, Puncture repair/ tube replacement, inflated to recommended pressure (PSI).
Last bike drop off at 16:30 to allow our mechanics time to carry out any required maintenance.
