Downtown Throwdown

Downtown PKB promotes downtown Parkersburg, fosters economic opportunity and creates community vitality. The goal is to create a vibrant commercial district that will provide downtown businesses, workers and nearby residents with the goods and services they need, as well as create educational, entertainment and tourism opportunities.

We are partnering with the Parkersburg Jaycees again this year to harness the energy and volunteer spirit the Jaycees bring to any event they support.
Attendees will have the option to purchase various BBQ and other items from their choice of food vendors. Most vendors accept cash only, but there are ATM's in the vicinity of the event. At the end of the evening, attendees are encouraged to cast their vote on the back of their entry ticket for their favorite BBQ item in the ballot box, located at the main gate. At the end of the evening, our winner will be announced and receive their award.
