The Villagers had three top ten Gulf Coast regional hits with their number one hit "Laugh It Off" in 1966 on radio stations WBAM (Montgomery, Alabama, WDLP (Panama City). as well as stations in Pensacola. Other hits included "Where Have You Been" and "Thank You Baby."

A 60's group, The Villagers have perfprmed with the likes of Roy Orbison, Charlie Rich, the Swinging Medallions, Etta James, to name a few.

Their lead singer is no stranger to the big stage. CLIFF ELLIS, who started his coaching career at Ruckel Junior High is the former basketball coach at Auburn, Clemson, South Alabama, Coastal Carolina, and Cumberland University. He retired this year as the ninth winningest coach in the history of Division 1 College Basketball.
