Join us at Shelf Life Books on Thursday October 1st, 2026 to celebrate the launch of our first two-stand alone comic titles, published in 2026!

Listen to a reading of the artist's favourite chapter, participate in a Q&A with the artists on their creative process, how to create a comic, and what it is like working with an independent comic book publisher.

You will also have the opportunity to purchase the comic books and have the artist sign them! Your purchase directly supports these artist work.

Coffee and donuts will be provided.

Gytha Worker's Cooperative is a Calgary-based independent comic book and zine publisher committed to building a better comics industry; we believe that our creators deserve fair compensation, sustainable working conditions, to ensure that we can output the highest quality of work.

Our flagship publication, Gytha Quarterly, is produced in a tankobon-inspired format that brings together the immediacy of a magazine with the permanence of a book. This magazine is anthology based with a variety of artists per issue publishing a few pages of their stories, which eventually become stand-alone titles!
