About this event

Due to construction in front of the Public Library (40 E. Anapamu St.), the Domingo (Sunday) Tour will meet across the street (see map with red circle below) at 10:00am.

From the Public Library, you will be guided by an experienced docent who will share the architecture and historic art of downtown Santa Barbara as it was reborn after the 1925 earthquake. You will stroll through La Arcada Court and up State Street experiencing public art, hidden courtyards and fountains. Learn about the histories of the Arlington and Granada Theatres while learning about the architectural delights by featured architects Myron Hunt, Joseph Plunkett and Kem Weber. Suggested donation is $20 per person. Payment made on site at tour. Rain will cancel a tour.

Interested in becoming a walking tour docent? AFSB is looking for volunteers to join its team of docents. Training will be provided. Expected participation is approximately one tour per month. Contact Molly at 805.965.6307 or email info@afsb.org for further information.
