Join historian and Historical Society of Cheshire County storyteller Becky Barton for a leisurely 1-hour stroll along the shaded sidewalks of South Main Street. Explore the true stories of people who contributed to the prosperity of the families they worked for in Keene. Who were the domestic servants? How long did they work? Which families benefited from their labors!? Tours begin at the Historical Society’s headquarters, the Ball Mansion at 246 Main Street. Free parking is located behind the building in the designated HSCC parking spaces. Wear comfortable shoes for this easy footing, guided tour.

Ticketing Details

Tickets are $10/per person. Tickets must be pre-purchased on Find Your Place In History - Historical Society of Cheshire County within 24 hours of the tour day/time. No walk-up tickets will be available at this time. Tour guides do not carry money.

Space is limited to 12 people per tour. Tours meet at the Historical Society of Cheshire County headquarters (Ball Mansion) at 246 Main Street in Keene. Bring a printed copy of your ticket or show it on your smartphone to the tour guide.

Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
