Dolce e Amaro translates to Sweet and Bitter. Amaro is an Italian aromatic bitters infused with various herbs, roots and citrus peels. The bitter and herbal complexity of amaro greatly enhances rich, savory flavors, but it also smooths the spicier and more acidic dishes through sweetness.
