DOJO 21 is Sky Village NYC's After School Arts Program serving students at PS122 in Astoria, NY. It is a unique opportunity for children 5 years and older to take part in weekly arts and craft classes as well as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the International Training Center of New York.
Inspired by the "Yin Yang Theory" in Chinese Philosophy, we believe that greater physical, mental and emotional balance can be achieved through the practice of various art forms, proper nutrition and meditation. Our children's program will largely focus on visual and martial arts. We will also engage in a daily 10 minute "mind break" or meditation to help our students calm their nervous systems and steady their focus. Children should demonstrate an aptitude for drawing and painting to participate. Art methods that we will focus on include Origami, 3D drawing and painting.
We feel confident with our regular after school routine your child will make significant steps towards adopting systems for long lasting happiness and well being.
OUR PROGRAM
If your child is under the age of 10 years old we will arrange for one of our staff to pick your child up from school and walk directly to ITC /Sky Village for the afterschool program. We will be alternating 45 minutes of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (Tuesday + Thursday) with SOCCER classes (Monday + Wednesday) in addition to arts and craft activities each week. On Fridays students will enjoy structured playtime and field games with Daniel Berrios from Unlimited Body NY! A sample of our weekly schedule is listed below.

REGISTER
Registration for this exclusive program is $250 for 5 days a week for the school year. This price includes pick-up from your child's school and multiple specialty classes per week including visual art and martial arts! You may also choose the 2 day option (T+Th) for $150 weekly or 3 day option (M, W+ F) for $180. Your deposit will hold your child's spot for the semester. A four week payment is due by the 5th of every month.
