Intermediate 8-Week Training Adventure
Graduated from basic manners & obedience? Is your pup nailing commands even with distractions? Then it’s time to take your teamwork to the next level!
Join us for this intermediate 8-week course starting Saturday October 25, 2025 at 3PM, where we’ll meet weekly at high-traffic parks and public spaces across Phoenix’s West & Central Valley. The curriculum will get more challenging each week, both in training expectations and real-world distractions!
What You & Your Pup Will Do:
* Strengthen basic commands using hand signals and verbal cues at a distance while improving position changes
* Master leash manners in busy parks and even mall environments, solidifying Heel/Reel placement
* Learn advanced obedience positions: Front, Middle, Behind, Back Up, Weave, Spin/Twirl, Orbit, & Touch
* Build impulse control with boundary training Back, Place, & Wait
* Practice polite greetings around people and other dogs
* Develop leash safety habits while walking in groups
Each class runs for 1 hour, and we recommend committing to 1 hour of practice daily to get the most out of the course.
Pre-Requisites:
To thrive in this course, your dog must already be able to perform the following commands reliably with distractions:
> Name Recall
> Sit
> Watch
> Stand
> Down
> Off
> Stay & Release
> Come
> Non-Reactive Leash Manners
Class Topics Include:
1. Long-Lead Distance Commands (Hand & Verbal Cues)
2. Long-Lead Distraction Recalls
3. Loose leash walking: Heel/Reel, Pivots, Directional Changes
4. Front, Middle, Behind
5. Weave, Orbit, Spin/Twirl, Touch
6. Back Up & Back for Boundary Control
7. Place & Wait with Duration & Release
8. Polite Greetings with canines & humans
9. Advanced Leash Manners (Distractions & Obstacles)
10. Pack Walking with Other Dogs & Human Distractions
11. Leash Safety Protocols
Weekly Location Details:
You’ll receive class location & homework reminders through an email recap and a group text message weekly. We’ll start in lower-traffic areas and build up to busier, more stimulating locations.
Requirements:
1. Must pre-register
2. Proof of vaccinations required (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella)
3. Liability form must be signed
4, Training packet provided
5. Free Treat Training Bag
6. Buy 1 Class, Attended a 2nd Full Class for Free
Pup must be able to work around other dogs and people without excessive reactivity
Daily at-home practice strongly recommended
Cost: $350 (Payment can be split: half before, half at course end)
