About this event

  • 3 hours

At our Centers, one of the most common questions we receive from our transitioning military professionals and spouses is, "There are so many Skillbridge Programs listed on the website, where can I even start?"

Get ready to take charge of your career by connecting directly with vetted Skillbridge programs from various industries and start building a POWERFUL PROFESSIONAL NETWORK. Whether you're searching for a job, looking to expand your network, or simply want to socialize with like-minded individuals, this event has something for everyone.

The Hampton Roads Military Installations and HAmpton Roads Workforce Council has partnered with the highest engaged, vetted DoD-authorized SkillBridge providers to host the DoD Skillbridge EXPOs.

Navigating the ocean of goodwill, skillbridge programs and resources can be challenging, and our team's goal is to simplify this process by providing an environment where our military community can talk to actual people rather than click on a website.

Organized by

A division of the Hampton Roads Workforce Council (HRWC), the Hampton Roads Veterans Employment Centers (HRVECs) partner with all the area’s military installations and local Chambers of Commerce to host Career Summits, DoD Skillbridge EXPOs, Executive Military Transition Seminars and Workshops on the Peninsula and Southside regions of Hampton Roads. Free of charge to military families, active-duty service members and veterans, each event connects our military community with dozens of businesses, universities, government agencies and veteran service organizations (VSOs) in a casual environment.

The HRVECs, Military Installation teams and Chambers of Commerce collaborate to design events that reach our military community. These men, women and youth often face difficulty in connecting with vetted resources. By offering an environment with vetted employers, entrepreneurs, wrap around service providers and higher education professionals, we create events that engage our local and inbound military community.
