Event description

Description

Women in Cable Telecommunication (WICT) Rocky Mountain is partnering with Girls in STEM Denver to provide this screening free of charge. Following the screening, there will be break-out sessions for both professionals and students provided by Turing. The evening will end with a panel discussion of professional women from WICT, Girls in STEM Denver, and Turing.

CODE documentary exposes the dearth of American female and minority software engineers and explores the reasons for this gender gap and the digital divide. The film highlights breakthrough efforts that are producing more diverse programmers and shows how this critical gap can be closed. CODE asks: what would society gain from having more women and minorities code and how do we get there?
