GB Youth Media is a pioneering after-school program that empowers young people in Montgomery County to become community leaders through the use of multimedia.Our programs teach young people how to craft effective media messages while helping them understand complex civic issues. Participants learn to find their voice and are empowered to initiate change in their community.

We see it all over the media, but excessive use of force by police isn’t new. We’ve known about the killings of men, women, and children of color too many times over the last few decades as a result of interactions with law enforcement.
The only thing that is new is the video camera.
Join the student producers of Gandhi Brigade Youth Media at the premiere of their new short documentary "To Serve and Protect?"

After the screening the youth producers will share their thoughts and answer questions, followed by a panel conversation with Montgomery County Police Commander Marcus Jones, Montgomery County NAACP chapter president Linda Plummer and Howard University professor Jennifer Thomas.
Last year's film "Juvenile Justice: The Road to Reform" went on to win the best high school film at the DC Independent Film Festival, was an "official selection" at the Black Baltimore International Film Festival and was shown at many other festivals around the nation.
