Great documentation doesn’t just inform—it invites contribution. In InnerSource environments, your docs are often the first place people engage, yet they’re frequently difficult to navigate, maintain, or contribute to.In this session, you’ll learn how to structure documentation so it’s clear, approachable, and easy for others to contribute to. We’ll explore practical tools that help automate common documentation tasks, reducing friction and keeping content up to date.By the end, you’ll walk away with a simple, actionable plan to improve or rebuild your current documentation, making it a true enabler for collaboration across your InnerSource teams. After the talk we will be facilitating a discussion on the topic that will be held under the <a href="https://www.chathamhouse.org/about-us/chatham-house-rule" title="https://www.chathamhouse.org/about-us/chatham-house-rule" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Chatham House Rule</a>. He has helped engineering teams build and maintain shared documentation workflows that encourage contribution, reduce onboarding time, and improve project visibility.With a background in DevOps and Software Engineering, Feyijimi understands how developers think and what makes documentation useful to them. He has written, reviewed, and automated docs across fast-paced projects, including AI-powered tools, shared internal libraries, and cross-team platforms. His focus is on making documentation more collaborative, contributor-friendly, and integrated into the developer workflow.Beyond his technical work, Feyijimi actively mentors new developers and regularly speaks at community events about software engineering, documentation, and developer productivity. His focus is on building team cultures where documentation is practical, shared, and part of everyday development.
