"Do The Rot Thing!"

If you've wanted to start composting, but didn't know where to start, this is the perfect workshop for you. Join Tiffany Bess of Apple Rabbit Compost for a morning of trash talking! You'll learn all about what compost is, why it's important, and how anyone can do the rot thing at home.

Methods we'll be covering include:

Tumblers

Bokashi

Vermicomposting

Aerated Static Piles

and More

After dreaming up Apple Rabbit Compost, Jacksonville's first food scrap composting business in 2015, Tiffany Bess has lived a life focused on reducing landfilled waste and enriching our local soil. Her past experience includes Head of the GastroFest Green Action Committee, affiliate member of the Duval Soil and Water Conservation District, and President of the Museum of Science and History's young professional group, The Elements of MOSH. Other groups she is affiliated with include ILSR's Community Compost Coalition.
