Following a year long expedition across America to find the best burgers in the USA, David Morton and Michael Kornick opened DMK Burger Bar in November, 2009.Proudly serving 100% grass-fed beef patties, colorado lamb, bison, house made veggie and natural turkey burgers paired with its legendary artisan buns, DMK Burger Bar has been featured on the Food Network’s Diners Drive-Ins and Dives, awarded Best Fries In Chicago by Chicago Magazine, named Best Veggie Burger In Chicago by the Chicago Tribune, named one of the 10 best burgers in America by Fox News, and highlighted as one of the 5 best new burger concepts in America in Bon Appetit.

DMK's 3rd Annual SORTA MARATHON
For some of us, that big ol' Chicago Marathon is just too much work. 
So, DMK thought, hey, let's pay homage to the Marathon, but the rules are: there.are.no.rules.
This is our third year and it just keeps getting better and better!

When: Saturday, October 8th (the day before the Chicago Marathon)
Time: Registration starts at 1:30p; race starts tentatively at 2pm
Where: Race starts at DMK Burger Bar (2954 N. Sheffield Ave.) and ends at Henry's (18 W. Hubbard St.)
What: Participants will grab their swag and bibs at the corner of Sheffield and Wellington and, when the horn sounds, you will make your way to Henry's, located in River North. Jenny Milkowski from FOX32's morning news program "Good Day Chicago" will be our emcee extraordinaire and there to get you PUMPED.
How much: just $25! (includes t-shirt, sunglasses, free beer 'til it runs out at the end of the race!)
Rules: There aren't any. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You can take any route and run, walk, hop, skip, jump, bike... whatever you want, as long as you end up at the "finish line" a.k.a. Henry's, where the free beer from Lagunitas and Marz will be a-flowin' 'til it's gone! In addition to some top prizes for the first 5 to get to the finish line, there will be a raffle to give away even more DMK prizes. And the awesome peeps at Universal Sole are also donating the swaggiest of running gear prizes too! (3052 N. Lincoln Ave., universalsole.com)
And the best part: 100% of the proceeds go to making a local child's wish come true with the help of A Special Wish Chicago, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to granting the wishes of children and young adults, from birth through age 20, in the greater Chicago-land area who have been diagnosed with a life threatening condition. Last year we raised over $2,000 and hope to raise a whole lotta money this year too!
