DIY Upcycled Rain Chain
Create a beautiful and functional rain chain to direct water flow in place of a downspout, using upcycled materials including aluminum cans.
Rain chains slow and break up water flow, while guiding the water to a splash zone below the gutters. Water flows through a series of cups or links, designed in decorative (often floral) patterns. This combines the beauty of flowing water with the beauty of the chain design, and the practicality of managing water flow.
We'll create our own rain chains from upcycled materials, including aluminum cans. Bring your creativity and design ideas, or make use of templates provided. If space allows, we will work on our projects in the greenhouse, sourrounded by the green promise of spring! This activity is most suitable for teens and adults. Materials and tools provided.
A minimum of 7 registrations by February 28 is required in order for this event to be held.
Late registrations (within one week of the event) can be made as long as the event has met the minimum number of participants.
Maximum number of participants is 15.
