DIY Initial Bag Charm Workshop

Add a personal touch to your favorite handbag! Join instructor Brittney Grant at the Mood Fabrics Showroom in Chicago for a fun, hands-on 60-minute workshop where you will construct your very own initial bag charm. Designed as an approachable entry point for sewists of all skill levels, this fast-paced session takes the intimidation out of operating a sewing machine while ensuring every participant completes a stylish accessory to take home.

During the workshop, attendees will choose their initial and select from a curated assortment of fabric scraps on-site. You will learn how to interface your materials, apply Liquid Fray Check to raw edges, attach grommets and keychain hardware, and practice precision stitching on showroom sewing machines.

• What to Bring: All project materials—including fabric scraps, medium-weight interfacing, Liquid Fray Check, and keychain hardware—as well as sewing machines are provided on-site. Attendees are welcome to bring their own home sewing machine if preferred.
