D.I.Y. Feedback Circuit Workshop
Build and walk home with your own noise instrument. No prior experience necessary.
In this workshop, you will build and take home your own analog feedback circuit. You will learn basic concepts of electrical components, read simple circuit diagrams, and use a breadboard to develop your own feedback instrument. We will approach the circuit with both technical and experimental tools, allowing you to build your own unique design.
No previous experience required- just open ears and a curious attitude.
Mitch Stahlmann is an Oakland-based improviser, composer, and performer working across analog, digital, and acoustic modalities. His practice centers on exploring the boundaries of musical and technological instruments, creating playful and chaotic sonic environments. As a teacher, his excitement for building systems—whether circuit-based, digital—shapes a hands-on, exploratory approach that invites participants to experiment and uncover unexpected sounds of their own.
