Introducing the very first 'Diverse Minds' festival! Experience our interactive, dynamic, and the first-ever online event hosted by the University of Nottingham, designed exclusively for neurodivergent postgraduate researchers (PGRs) in the Biological Sciences, but open to all!
This event has been funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and is led by the University of Nottingham BBSRC DTP, a fully funded PhD training programme in the biosciences.
Throughout the online festival, we have an incredible line up of speakers delivering presentations, talks, and workshops, which have all been designed to inspire, educate, and empower neurodiverse students within the biological sciences.
The festival offers a diverse range of topics that you can learn from. Our sessions will cover practical strategies for excelling in academia as a neurodiverse student, develop leadership skills, delve into accessibility and technology tools, and discover how to foster neurodiverse inclusive work environments. Additionally, participants can explore wellbeing and coping strategies, gain career planning advice, and insights into access to work.
Join us as we empower individuals with diverse cognitive abilities and pave the way for a more inclusive culture within the field of biology!
The festival will take place on the online platform, ZOOM.
The link to join the festival will be sent by email once you have signed up.
