About DIVE 2026
DIVE 2026 is Busan's premier global data hackathon, bringing together students, developers, data scientists, and creatives to solve real-world problems using real data.
Unlike typical hackathons, every challenge track at DIVE is powered by actual datasets provided directly by public institutions and private companies. No toy data. No synthetic problems. You work on issues that matter — and the organizations behind the data are in the room with you as mentors.
This is the 3rd edition of DIVE, hosted in Busan — South Korea's second-largest city and a rising hub for data and AI innovation.

What You'll Do
Teams of 2–4 select a challenge track from 8–10 available topics, each co-presented by a public institution and a private company (e.g., financial data, urban mobility, housing, marine science, barrier-free infrastructure).
You'll have two days to analyze the data, define a solution, build it, and present to judges and track mentors.
Format:
- Day 1 — Opening ceremony, track briefings, data deep-dive, mentoring sessions
- Day 2 — Final presentations, judging, awards ceremony

Bonus: Teams with 1 or more international members receive additional points in the application screening.
