Join AHCMC at the Betty Mae Kramer Gallery and Music Room for the opening reception of "dis/figure." This exhibition, featuring paintings by Jessica Hopkins and Mariama McCarthy, explores the practice of portraiture as a method of revealing or concealing personal histories, particularly in depictions of marginalized and oppressed persons, and considers the unique burdens inherent to these representations.
