St. Barnabas Senior Services

Caregiving has always been part of human culture, but the dynamics surrounding it have changed profoundly over the past 50 years. The extended family has all but vanished, replaced by the “nuclear family” unit and families spread over long distances. While most of us are just “a phone call away” from those we love, there is a vast gulf when it comes to being able to provide them with care. Caregiving is also immensely challenging. It places a physical, emotional and financial burden on the provider which often comes around to accelerate their own aging process. 
Join us for an expert panel discussion about the complex, intimate and powerful relationship between caregiver and recipient. Refreshments and appetizers will be served. The reception begins at 5:30pm and the program will start at 6:30pm. 
Parking is available on-site, however, we recommend carpooling or using a ride share.
