Discover STEM Together returns for its second community-wide celebration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), bringing families, youth leaders, and community partners together through hands-on learning, creativity, and shared discovery this time on the southwest side of Houston!

Discover STEM Together

Discover STEM Together is a free, family-friendly STEM experience co-led by You Discover Math (YDM) and Houston’s Young Monarchs. Building on the success of our inaugural event, this second edition reflects our continued commitment to creating accessible, engaging, and community-rooted STEM opportunities for Houston’s youth and families.

This year’s event deepens what we’ve built together, featuring expanded hands-on activities, student- and youth-led booths, and interactive learning experiences designed to spark curiosity, confidence, and connection. Discover STEM Together centers learning as a shared experience, where young people are not just participants, but leaders, creators, and teachers.

Come curious, return inspired, and be part of a growing movement that shows what’s possible when learning is built with community at the center.

About You Discover Math (YDM)

You Discover Math provides engaging, high-quality math learning experiences for underserved and low-income students and families across Houston. Through accessible programs and caring role models, YDM works to remove barriers to learning and help students build confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging in math.

YDM envisions a future where math is a source of strength and pride, opening doors for families to grow, lead, and thrive across generations.

About Houston’s Young Monarchs

Houston’s Young Monarchs empowers youth and families to learn, lead, and create change together through hands-on learning, social justice education, and community action. Their work blends STEAM activities, cultural exploration, and leadership development, centering youth voice and family engagement in every experience.

Inspired by the monarch butterfly, Houston’s Young Monarchs believes in transformation, resilience, and the power of generations working together to build stronger, more just communities.

You Discover Math ofrece experiencias de aprendizaje en matemáticas atractivas y de alta calidad para estudiantes y familias de bajos ingresos o con acceso limitado en Houston.
