Discover Flowers!

Suggested for grades 4 - 5

• Visit the Montgomery County Fairgrounds and learn about Flowers at the University of Maryland Garden Discovery Day on September 21st, 2024!
• Explore the beautiful and complex world of flowers.
• Learn about flowers healing properties and how to send a message in flower language.
• The science behind flowers will be examined, then observed with a field study in the garden. Plus, make a fun flower craft!

Discover Flowers! will complete the requirements for the Girl Scout Junior Flower Badge.

Come dressed for the weather. Some parts of the badge will take place outside, rain or shine.

This is not a drop-off program. We request 1 adult for every 8 children in your group. Adults are free and do not require a ticket.
