Discounted Spring 2023 Introductory Riding Program

Please note this ticket is deposit on a 10-week lesson package.

Sagehill's Introductory Riding Program is designed for those people ages 8 to 70+ who would like to learn how to ride! This special promotional offer includes 10, 2-hour weekly lessons with other fellow horse newbies and includes theory, safety, assisted tack-up and riding time at a cost of $64/lesson with a payment plan! Make a $150 deposit and then 3 payments of $174/month throughout the 10 weeks. Our program has been specially designed to help people new to horses learn and build confidence.

There are the days/classes to choose from starting the week of April 9th 2023:

- Sundays starting April 9th at 9:30am and at 2:30pm

- Mondays starting April 10th at 5:30pm

- Tuesdays starting April 11 at 6:00pm

- Wednesdays starting April 13 at 5:30pm

- Thursdays starting April 14 at 6pm

- Fridays starting April 15 at 5pm OR 7pm

- Saturdays starting April 16 at 9:30am and 2:30pm

Get horseback riding off your bucket list and improve your health and well being by learning this life-long activity! After completing the 10-week program you will feel confident in your abilities to pursue your equine dreams! Offering at a reduced price of $640 + GST for the entire 10-week program, payable in monthly installments. Note that 4-hrs notice is required for a make-up lesson.

Note: $150 non-refundable /non-transferable deposit is required to reserve your spot.  The remainder of the fees can be paid in 3 payments of $174 /month lessons. Eventbrite and credit card fees are not included. Methods of payment include credit card (additional fees), etransfer, cash or cheque.

What else will students need: Students will need to have long pants for riding in (non-slippery material such as jeans, tights, ect.) as well as a boot or shoe with a 1/2 inch heel (for safety reasons, so rider's feet do not slip through the stirrup).  It is recommend that student purchase a properly fitted equestrian riding helmet, however, we do have helmets available for students to borrow for the classes. For winter riding we suggest winter boots that have a 1/2 heel, layer up pants, warm gloves and a helmet cover. Greenhawk Harness and Equestrian is a good place to look for first time riding gear.

A minimum of 3 students are required to run a group.  If three students are not available for your desired time-slot, you may be asked to switch days/time-slots.  If you are unable to switch times, your deposit will be refunded**

FAQ:

The first lesson is going to be mostly theory, filling out paper work and learning how to catch and lead, groom and tack up horses. We will also practice mounting and dismounting, but will not do a lot of riding. So, if you have questions about what to wear, helmets, etc. you can also ask your coach at the first lesson at you won't miss out on anything :)

As you get better at catching, leading and grooming and tacking up your horse, the riding time each lesson will get longer.

If you are going to be away for a week or weekend and need to miss a class, or we can do make-up lessons for missed classes as long as we get 24-hrs notice for missing the event.
