On Saturday 18th April, just one week before World Disco Chop Day 2026 Alchemic Kitchen are hosting a Disco Chop at Sub Rosa with Fig and the Wild joining the party to celebrate what we call ‘Cinderella veggies’.
Once upon a time, "Cinderella veggies" were overlooked, underappreciated, or considered humble or ‘ugly’. So, Alchemic Kitchen decided to host Disco Chop events to transform these in to delicious dishes never to be overlooked again…
Between 1 – 3pm we’ll be cooking, dancing and eating together cooking up delicious dishes celebrating a whole array of veggies; from tinned pulses/ beans including chickpeas/ kidney / lentils, kale, swiss chard, and cabbage along with ripe bananas and apples for a delicious pud.
