LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilities often feel isolated from two communities at once. Organized in conjunction with accessABILITY, an Indianapolis-based nonprofit, Dis-Queer gives us an opportunity to socialize, educate ourselves on the issues that matter to us, and develop ourselves as self-advocates. Join us on the first Tuesday of every month as we get together and create community!
Everyone who 1) identifies as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or is questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity, and 2) identifies as having a disability (including neurodivergent folks) is welcome to join! To provide a safe space, we ask that only those who identify with both categories sign up.
