On Friday afternoon from 3:00 to 5 pm there will be a presentation from the Rev. Andrew McGowan, Dean of Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, entitled "True Bread: The meals of Jesus and the life of the Church".

Following the presentation, dinner will be served. The buffet will include chicken, roasted vegetables, and vegetarian pasta. Please indicate your choice of grilled chicken (gluten free), chicken Florentine, or vegetarian lasagna, and inform us of any food allergies. You must register for dinner no later than October 19th.

Various ministries around the Diocese will have displays and representatives in the Atrium.

At 7 pm, we will celebrate the Eucharist of Convention. A dessert and coffee reception will follow.

Registration is required for the presentation and/or the dinner, and requested as a courtesy for the Eucharist. No one is required to stay for dinner if attending the presentation, nor is attendance at the presentation required for dinner.

Organized by

The Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island is a gathering of the 52 Episcopal Churches in Rhode Island, served by the Bishop, The Rt. Rev. W. Nicholas Knisely and his staff who support congregations as they carry out their mission and ministries. They provide resources and educational opportunities to encourage spiritual development and outreach in the churches of this diocese, as well as in the greater community. Together, our Bishop and churches work to do large-scale ministry no church could operate alone, such as the ECC Summer Camp, the Center for Reconciliation and more.
