About this event

Dining With Diabetes, a four-part educational series on diabetes management, will be held by Tandem Clinical Research on June 4, 11, 18, and 25 at 6 pm at the OnPath Foundation Center. This program helps adults at risk for type 2 diabetes, who are pre-diabetic or who have diabetes and their families/caregivers learn how to manage their condition through menu planning, carbohydrate counting, portion control, and label reading. Participants can sample healthy foods using the concepts taught in class.

The program will be conducted by Elisabet Trujillo, Nutrition and Community Health Agent for Jefferson Parish with the LSU AgCenter and Carla Rosales, Physician and Community Liaison with Tandem Clinical Research. Participants will receive information and recipes presented at each class.

We encourage everyone to attend all sessions of our upcoming 4-part series to fully experience the comprehensive learning and growth opportunities we have planned. Each class builds on the previous one, ensuring you get the most out of this transformative journey. Don’t miss out!

Please call the numbers below by May 28, 2024, to pre-register for classes. Seating is limited. Hope to see you there!
